I live in a part of San Diego where I get to walk a lot. It’s great! Very European. I walk to the grocery store, coffee shop, movie theater, and pharmacy. My dog waits patiently while I make a deposit at the bank or pick up a few pieces of fresh fruit. The neighborhood is safe, clean, and friendly. It’s really pretty great. Sure, it’s not cheap… but it’s not the most expensive place I’ve ever lived either… not by a longshot.
Someone recently asked me if I was interested in moving to another spot; wondered when I was going to buy another big house inland. Don’t hold your breath. I don’t really want to trade what I have for another 3 car garage and 60 minute commute. No thanks. This little slice of heaven is the closest I’ll probably come to European living in San Diego.
